A person has two Wanteds. Are you required to give them a ticket, or can you also arrest them? Briefly explain your answer.
I will arrest them if they have wanteds because even though I can give a ticket for one wanted, it's not fair, so either way I am arresting them.
A person with four Wanteds is fleeing in a vehicle. What options do you have?
I'll call in backup to help manage the pursuit, set up roadblocks, and try to safely disable the car with spike strips.
A person exits their vehicle after a pursuit and runs away unarmed. How do you proceed?
I will initiate a foot pursuit and use non-lethal. methods like drawing my taser to apprehend the suspect safely.
During a check, you encounter a person who has previously been caught multiple times with illegal items. Are you allowed to search them?
I am allowed to search the person to make sure they are not carrying suspicions or illegal weapons, since they have been caught multiple times previously.
An Officer urgently requests backup while you are currently conducting a normal traffic stop. What do you do?
I will safely conclude the stop as quickly as possible. If other units are available, I will call for backup to take over for the high-ranking officers.
