# LSPD – Ausbildungssystem

# LSPD – Training System
Since the Los Santos Police Department also serves as a stepping stone for many members who later want to join the FBI, the LSPD is now introducing its own training system.
The goal of this training is to better prepare new Officers for everyday police duties and to teach them the most important skills required for future service within the LSPD or another government faction.
---
§1 – General Information
Every new member will continue to complete a 1-week probation period.
During this time, the Officer should gain their first experience and become familiar with the procedures and structure of the LSPD.
However, completing the probation period alone will no longer automatically result in promotion to Rank 2.
---
§2 – Training
During the training, Officers will be taught the most important areas of police work.
This includes, among other things:
- general procedures within the LSPD
- conduct during checks and arrests
- handling Wanted suspects and offenders
- radio discipline and teamwork
- conduct during major operations
- shooting exercises
- driving exercises
- flight exercises
The training is intended to ensure that every Officer understands the basic procedures and rules before being permanently promoted.
---
§3 – Examination for Rank 2
In order to be promoted to Rank 2 after the probation period, the Officer must successfully complete an examination.
The examination may include both theoretical and practical parts of the training.
This may include, for example, knowledge of the rules, behavior in certain situations, shooting, driving, or flying.
---
§4 – Date of the Examination
After completing the probation period, the Officer may generally take the examination.
If an Officer does not yet feel ready, the examination may be postponed for up to 3 weeks.
The examination must be completed no later than the end of this period.
Until the examination has been successfully passed, the Officer will remain at their current rank.
---
§5 – Failing the Examination
If the examination is not passed on the first attempt, the Officer will receive a second and final opportunity to take the examination again.
Between the two attempts, the LSPD leadership may require additional training or preparation.
If the second attempt is also failed, the person will be removed from the LSPD.
---
§6 – Successful Completion
If the examination is successfully passed and the probation period has also been completed successfully, the Officer will be promoted to Rank 2.
From this point onward, the basic LSPD training is considered successfully completed.
---
§7 – Purpose of the Training
The training system is intended not only to prepare Officers for normal LSPD duties, but also to provide a solid foundation for members who may later wish to join the FBI.
Anyone who successfully completes the training should be able to confidently handle the most important theoretical and practical basics of police work.
